Do you need vaccinations to enter Africa?

For Zimbabwe & Botswana No mandatory vaccines are required for entry if you are traveling from the U.S. or Europe. Yellow Fever (Important) A Yellow Fever vaccine is ONLY required if you are arriving from or transiting through a country where yellow fever is present (parts of Africa or South America). If that applies, you’ll need to show a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate at entry. Recommended (but not required) vaccines These are commonly advised for travel to Southern Africa: Hepatitis A Typhoid Tetanus (up to date) Hepatitis B (for longer stays or certain activities) Malaria Consideration Victoria Falls and Chobe are malaria-risk areas, especially in warmer months.
