about themba
My full name is Thembelilhe Hopewell Moyo, born and raised in Victoria Falls. My tribes name is Ndebele. We descended from South Africa in the 18th Century, moving north under King Mzilikazi, a once trusted General of Zulu Nation King Shaka. King Mzilikazi led his people north following a squabble with King Shaka.
I’m proud of my culture and unique environment in which we live, and equally proud to share it with others to witness and learn. We hope that the experience enriches your life.
Our Story
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Themba has always had a deep connection to the land, the wildlife, and the culture that surrounds it. Growing up here meant being constantly immersed in the beauty of the country—and seeing firsthand the incredible experiences it offers to those willing to explore it. Tourism and wildlife were part of everyday life, so becoming a tour guide felt like a natural path. Over time, that role turned into something more meaningful: a way to share Zimbabwe and its neighbouring towns as it’s truly lived, not just seen. Themba is passionate about introducing travelers to the country’s culture, traditions, and people—creating experiences that feel authentic, personal, and unforced. Every trip is shaped by local knowledge and a genuine love for showing others what makes Zimbabwe so special. At the heart of it all is a simple goal: to help guests experience Zimbabwe through a local lens, feeling welcomed, connected, and inspired long after the journey ends
